The Schwinn 431 – My Favorite and Best Elliptical Trainer
I am a fitness freak, and I give a lot of importance to even minute details about what I am doing to maintain fitness using my equipment. I started my fitness regime going to a gym nearby, however I preferred an isolated environment so started buying things to make a home gym. My first purchase was a treadmill, after extensive research I landed on the best treadmill in the market (which is ideal for both men and women), LifeSpan TR 1200i Folding Treadmill
I was happy with it, but it was just aiding me with proper weight management and metabolism, I wanted a better alternative which strengthened my overall body and also aid in weight management. Elliptical trainers provide an effective cardiovascular workout. It focuses on both the upper and lower body flexibility and coordination. The entire motion is smooth without any impact, which makes it smooth on the knees. The entire motion emulates the natural motion of our foot. Regular use of elliptical trainers will increase heart and lung capacity in addition to the weight management it offers. Elliptical trainer is always better than a treadmill when it comes to the following things
- Weight Management
- Smooth on knees and joints
- Aiding overall fitness of many muscle fibers.
So I decided to buy the best elliptical trainer, which is also cost effective. After extensive research, I felt Schwinn 431 Elliptical Trainer accommodates a wide variety of users, with a full-sized 18-inch stride length and bi-directional pedaling action that lets the user pedal forward or backward depending on the targeted muscle groups. Users will also appreciate the variety of workout programs, including three heart-rate controlled programs, a calorie goal program, a time trial, a fitness test, 10 profile programs, two custom programs, and a manual option. And thanks to the Eddy Current magnetic brake resistance system, the Schwinn 431 is smooth and quiet. Other details include an backlit LCD display with such feedback programs as Recovery Mode, Results Mode, and BMI; hand-grip heart rate monitors; a water bottle holder; and bottom wheels for easy transport. The warranty includes 15 years on the frame, two years on the parts, one year on the electronics, and 3 months on the labor.
My Review of Schwinn 431 Elliptical Trainer:
I am always very skeptical about buying higher-dollar products online, so went to a store and tried a few demo pieces. I shortlisted two of the Schwinn elliptical and tried both of them several times before finalizing. I was actually looking for an elliptical that was affordable (less than $800, as my treadmill costed me more than $1000) and accommodates the space I currently have available as the treadmill occupied a good amount of space and this machine seemed to fit the bill. The price of Schwinn 431 was better and the performance was quite similar so I decided on Schwinn 431, but did not buy it from the store, as I found buying online was much cheaper than buying it in store. The only thing I was worried about was about considering return shipping if the product is not good or damaged.
My room mate and me had the machine put together and it is now working for over 3 months and I have no complaints. It took us a 3 hours to put it together. It doesn’t really make any noise, has several features in terms of resistance, programs, etc. If there is one negative thing then it has to be the fan, it is not that powerful when it comes to cooling, however that doesn’t seem to influence the performance of the feel while you use it. TO me this product is just perfect and value for money. Go ahead and purchase it as now you get over 30% off on the List price.
